Tina Monaghan

Tina Monaghan is a seasoned Wealth and Philanthropy Management professional with over three decades of experience in the financial services and non-profit industries.  She has amassed a career encompassing practice strategy, management, training, event planning and marketing positions for organizations including Lehman Brothers, Goldman Sachs, Smith Barney, Morgan Stanley, Delbarton School, Bucknell University, Giordano Dance Chicago and The Women’s Association for Morristown Medical Center.

Bio

Tina is presently a consultant with Barbara Kay Consulting where she and Barbara specialize in people and practice management.  She collaborates with financial advisors, managers and their teams to elevate their practice with a focus on revenue growth, organizational structure, efficiency, the client experience, compensation arrangements, team expansion and culture, branding, marketing and succession planning. 

 

As a consultant, Tina derives her expertise from a variety of roles beginning with her early years in the fixed income capital markets.  As the Director of Smith Barney’s Fixed Income High Net Worth Desk, Tina regularly designed and spoke at client seminars and corporate conferences, conducted radio broadcasts and managed a team of bond portfolio strategists, working with the firm’s top clients and their financial advisors.  True to her guiding proviso that knowledge is empowering, Tina founded the High Net Worth University where she invited senior executives throughout the firm to present their work and thus enlighten her staff on the client benefits of the firm’s capabilities.

 

Tina also draws from a deep understanding of comprehensive Wealth Management through multiple leadership positions including roles in divisional, regional and branch management positions where she applied extensive experience with investment and practice strategy, sales, recruiting, hiring, training, marketing, the client experience, compliance and public speaking engagements. 

 

Throughout her career, Tina has designed numerous impactful experiences for clients, donors and leaders with an emphasis on meaningful events.  Along with client and donor appreciation events, educational events have featured training, symposiums and conferences for financial advisors, service professionals, branch management and corporate office executives.  She has also led philanthropic events that have raised record breaking funds for academic, healthcare and performing arts non-profits comprised of audiences from 50 to 1000.

 

Tina resolutely believes in civic responsibility and helping others, presently serving on two non-profit boards - Giordano Dance Chicago and The Women’s Association for Morristown Medical Center.  She recently became a reading tutor at P.S. 54 in Brooklyn, NY and committee member with Friends of the Drew Forest to help preserve the Drew Forest from development.  Tina lives in Madison, NJ with her husband, Brian and enjoys the theater, dance, music, art fairs, nature and lively debate with her son, Brian Jr.
